Thanksgiving dinner begins long before we set the table. Here at Yellowknife Homestead, it begins with the daily work of raising our turkeys with care, integrity, and respect for God’s creation.
Our 2026 turkeys started in the brooder. As they grew, we moved them into chicken tractors, where they could spend time outdoors while they were still too young for the freedom of the pasture. Now they’re out on pasture, exploring their surroundings. Watching them reach this stage is one of my favorite parts of raising them.
We feed our turkeys non-GMO feed and care for them throughout the season. It’s hands-on work, but sharing a turkey we raised with another family for Thanksgiving makes it worthwhile. Our turkeys sold out in both 2024 and 2025, and we’re grateful to everyone who has made one part of their holiday meal.
Reserve Your 2026 Thanksgiving Turkey
Our turkeys are $4.99 per pound. A $20 nonrefundable deposit reserves one turkey and is applied to its final purchase price. We’ll know each turkey’s weight after processing; the remaining balance will be calculated from that weight, less the deposit you’ve already paid.
Pickup is Tuesday, November 24, 2026, from 6–8 p.m. We’ll open the door at 6 p.m. Turkey sizes will be chosen from the birds available at pickup, with the first customer in line getting the first choice. We cannot guarantee or hold a particular size, and reserving earlier does not determine size selection.
Cash is preferred for the remaining balance at pickup, so please bring cash if possible.
Ready to reserve your turkey? Use the product listing below to pay your $20 deposit. At checkout, select “Local Pick-Up” for local pickup.
We look forward to being a small part of your Thanksgiving table. Thank you for supporting our homestead and the way we choose to raise our food.
