What's NEW for 2025!!!

1. WHOLE CHICKENS for your FREEZER: We will be offering you the chance to have fresh home grown whole broiler chickens for your freezer! We will be doing these in 4 different batches and we process them ourselves here at Yellowknife. The chickens range in weight from 4 to 6 pounds on average. If you would like to have some additional fresh chicken for your freezer, here are the details:

   1. Minimum of 5 chickens ordered

   2. $5/bird non-refundable down payment due at ordering (this will be taken off your pick up total)

   3. Cost will be $4.29/pound.

   4. Dates for processing are 5/17/25, 6/21/25, 7/19/25, & 8/16/25

   5. If you'd like to have different batches, we would like a minimum of 5 birds ordered per batch.

   6. NOTE: if you would like to pre-order your broilers with us, we have to finalize our orders no later than 1/10/25. This might seem early, but trust us, since 2020, if you don’t have this done by mid-January, you can’t get any birds.

2. SAVE MONEY with BULK ORDERING BROILERS: This year, we will be doing a bulk order for our Broilers. If you would like to grow your own broilers out, you can join us in the ordering. There will be a $0.25 handling fee per bird. Depending on how many broilers we can order, we could get these down to as low as $2.05 - $2.30/broiler for you (that includes the handling fee). So if you, or someone you know, likes to raise your own broilers, but only wants to do a small batch, this might be the perfect opportunity to reduce your start-up cost. The hatch dates for the broilers are 3/24/25, 4/28/25, 5/26/25, & 6/23/25.

3. PROCESSING BROILERS: We realize that there are very few facilities that will process our broilers in our area. We are willing to process your birds for a fee. These would be processed as whole broilers for a competitive $3/bird and no small batch fees. If you want them bagged, it will be an extra $0.50/broiler. See above schedule for current processing dates. We might open up an additional day each month if the need arises. **We will not be able to piece out your birds this year.

4. PRE-ORDER YOUR PASTURE RAISED NON-GMO TURKEY for THANKSGIVING 2025: Thanksgiving 2025 falls on November 27, 2025. We will set up our processing date in January. We also order our turkeys in January. So we would love to be able to have a better idea of how many turkeys we need to raise for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We do need a non-refundable $20 down by 1/10/25. You can pay that with cash, PayPal or Venmo (I try not to use PayPal or Venmo unless I need to.) Turkey Prices will be set at $4.79 per pound.

5. TASTE of YELLOWKNIFE EVENT 11/25/25: Join us the night of Thanksgiving Turkey pick-up from 6-8pm for a Taste of Yellowknife, where you can sample and purchase our Specialty Jams, BBQ sauces, Hot Sauces and more!!! We also take pre-orders for pies, sourdough bread & stuffing mix for pick-up that night. Look for more info to be posted on our social media accounts and on YellowknifeHomestead.com!
